The Hague 2023

Venues

The Hague will host theĀ 2023 Allianz Sailing World Championships, the principal qualification event for the Olympic Sailing Competition. Only the events and equipment included in the next Olympic Sailing Competition are included in the programme of the Championships. The 2023 edition will include the Olympic Events and Para World Sailing Classes.

Seaport The Hague-Scheveningen

Centrally located on the Dutch coastline, the port of Scheveningen has direct access to the North Sea, providing fast access to and from the port. The port of Scheveningen has excellent conditions for receiving smaller cruise ships, is accessible for ships up to 165 metres in length with a draught of up to 7.5 metres, has all the necessary facilities and always provides a warm reception for cruise ships. The beautiful view of the marina, the hustle and bustle of the fish market and the fresh sea breeze make the port of Scheveningen a unique place in the Netherlands.

 

Braassemermeer Marina

With 280 berths, the Braassemermeer Marina has a calm and well-arranged harbour. There is a special jetty for passers-by.Ā The harbor building has a good restaurant with a panoramic view of the entire Braassemermeer and, of course, clean sanitary facilities.Ā There is a parking lot right outside the harbour.

There are two championship courses. Lane 1 for the 2.4 class (own boats) and lane 2 for the 20 boats in the Hansa 303 (male and female) and the RS-Venture class (8 boats/16 teams), both classes are charter boats. The last two classes must switch boats between races.Ā Two races will be sailed per day/class.
